Special Selections Series:
*NEW RELEASE* Slightly cloudy due to the unfiltered and unfined style of this wine. On the nose, I get butterscotch, butter with toast and fresh applesauce and pear. A rich mouthfeel that confirms the nose—caramel apples, and creamy butter. Toasty oak. High acids are well balanced with the rich oak component of this wine, making it a nice pairing with many foods, including lobster with butter and Chicken Alfredo.
*NEW RELEASE* A slight cloudiness and some remnants of the less the wine was aged on. Fruit aromas: pineapples, bananas, pears, apple crisp and melon. New French oak is apparent. Caramel and vanilla flavors with a touch of smoke. The oak is very balanced with the fruit and solid acidity. Viscous mouthfeel. The flavors of fruit and oak are concurrent with the aromas. Tropical, pears and apples. Vanilla and butterscotch on the finish. Pair with a chicken or fish dish with a creamy, buttery sauce and capers.
A beautiful yellow gold color that will darken with bottle age. Made in the Sauternesstyle with botrytized grapes. Rich aromas of orange peels, honey, almonds and apricots. The flavors of dried peach, apricot, honey and toasty almonds are perfectly balanced with a natural sweetness and acidity.
