Policies:

  • Shipping Policy

    Extreme Temperatures: Your shipment may be delayed from its original ship date in order to protect your wines from extreme temperature damage. To avoid extreme hot and cold temperatures, some shipments may require 2-Day Air freight in order to protect the quality of the wine. Please contact the winery for more details.

    Destination Address: We strongly recommend delivery of wine shipments to a business, rather than a residence. All wine shipments require a signature to verify proof of age (over 21 years old). We regret we cannot deliver to P.O. boxes.
  • Return Policy

Quality Guarantee: If your wine is flawed or damaged, you may return the product for exchange or refund (except where prohibited by law).  Clos LaChance Winery will refund the value of the item, any taxes you were charged, and shipping charges.  

Return Authorization: To return wine(s), repackage the item(s) in its original packaging as received. Clos LaChance will send out a Call Tag via UPS Ground shipping for the returned items.

Please contact Clos LaChance Winery for Return Authorization. All shipments must be approved prior to return shipping and may be refused if no return authorization has been given.

Returned Shipments for Invalid Address: If a shipment is returned back to Clos LaChance Winery due to delivery failure for an invalid address, Clos LaChance will contact you.  

Credit card refunds: Returns to credit card will be placed on the original credit card used for purchase.

  • Customer Information Policy

Information is collected at the time of registration in order to complete transactions related to its use only. Customer lists are not sold or distributed to third parties.

E-mail Mailing Lists: This Web site does maintain an e-mail mailing list. Your name, e-mail, and other information are never used to send spam or other forms of opt-in or opt-out mailings. We use our mailing list to send you important information regarding your order or to update you on events & specials at Clos LaChance Winery.

  • Reservation Cancellation Policy
Effective 6/23/03.  All reservation requests are subject to availability, and are only valid upon receipt of a confirmation number from Clos LaChance Winery. All reservations require your Visa, MasterCard, or American Express number at the time of booking.
 
To cancel an existing reservation, you must contact Clos LaChance Winery at least 5 BUSINESS DAYS (Monday through Friday) prior to the event to receive a full refund. Any cancellations that do not fall into this time frame are subject to a 100% of the amount due.
 
If there is a waiting list for the specific event you wish to cancel, Clos LaChance will make every effort to fill your seat to avoid charging you the full amount after the cut off date. There are, however, are NO guarantees that we will be able to fill your reservation.   The holding of your reservation with a credit card constitutes your acceptance of this policy.

Ordering FAQs:

  • Q: When does Clos LaChance ship?
A: Clos LaChance ships Monday-Thursday during normal business days. Exceptions are holidays. Clos LaChance usually ships the next business day the order is received. Clos LaChance refrains from shipping during extreme temperature days until we feel the temperature is reasonable. For states with extreme high temperatures, we ask that you call (800) ITS-WINE and use Next Day or 2 day shipping. If you need Saturday delivery, please order by phone (800) ITS-WINE.
 
  • Q: How do I get the tracking number for the package(s)?
A: Once your shipment has been shipped, you should receive in the same e-mail you placed your order, an e-mail from UPS Quantum View the tracking number. If you did not receive the e-mail, contact us by phone (800) ITS-WINE.
 
  • Q: How long will the shipment take to get to the recipient?
A: Clos LaChance uses UPS Standard Ground Shipping.

  • What states can Clos LaChance ship to (online orders)?
AK, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IA, MI, MN, MO, NV, NH, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OR, SC, TX, VT, VA, WA, WI, WY
A copy of the purchasers’ Drivers License for verification, faxed to (408) 686-1052 is needed to complete purchase for the following states: DE, DC, KS, ME, NJ, RI, SD, TN.
 
  • Q: What are shipping costs?
A: First, you need to determine your zone. You can use UPS to determine your zone, the origin Zip Code is 95046. Please note Alaska and Hawaii rates vary.

For orders that include wine use the Wine Bottles Only rates by the pound of your total shipment (includes non-wine items).
 
For non-wine orders, use the Wine Bottles Only rates by the pound.
 
For tickets, there are no shipping charges for the Will Call option.
 
  • Q: Do I get a discount when I buy a case?
A: Clos LaChance grants the purchaser a 10% discount on case purchases. This discount cannot be combined with any other discounts.
 
  • Q: I am a Wine Club Member or Grower or Investor and I do not see my appropriate discount. What do I do?
A: Clos LaChance tries their best to manage their customers and we apologize for not seeing your appropriate discount. Please call (800) ITS-WINE or e-mail admin@clos.com to set-up an appropriate Log In User to reflect the correct discount.
 
  • Q: I just joined the wine club online. How do I start ordering with my new discount?
A: You will need to log-off and re-log-in in order to see your new discount. You will see “Your Price” above the Add to Cart button. In addition, you will be able to access the Wine Club Members Section.
 
  • Q:  I don't see a will call option to order wine.  How do I order and pick-up at the winery?

A:  Currently, Clos LaChance offers wine club shipments and tickets to be picked up at the winery.  To place orders to pick-up at the winery please contact (800) ITS-wine or admin@clos.com.
